When we run from our feelings, emotions, mental chaos, etc, they FOLLOW us. The more we resist the more they persist. Why because we are souls in human bodies who are meant to grow! The more we run from our triggers or shove them under the rug, the more our triggers will chase us, change forms and get BIGGER!
One of the greatest ways to open up your feelings is to start by opening up your feelings towards LOVING YOURSELF.
So why not try feeling your emotions? When we lean in and look it may feel intense at first, but when we do what needs to be done from our soul the intensity lessens.
Here is a great process to get you started?
Don’t resist or fight how you are feeling.
Feel ALL the feelings fully. Do not be scared to let the feelings flow in.
Really FEEL them. Have them. Be in your body while you feel it.
Acknowledge exactly what kind of feelings you are feeling. Write them down.
Accept that you feel that way and don’t judge how you feel came from.
Get out of your head with it. Don’t analyze or judge it.
Visually imagine releasing the feelings from your cells in your body.
Trust how you feel and that you are exactly where you need to be.
Know that your higher self is guiding you in the right direction.
Give everything up to your higher power. Let go.

Here I’ll dig a bit deeper into the bullet points above:
So when you have a feeling, you can breathe it in to ACCEPT it, but breathe it out to RELEASE it.
During this process, accept that you don’t need to know why you feel that way and the answers will surface when meant to surface. If you know why you feel that way, then be sure to write it in a journal. Write down the emotion and explore the root of it.
The reason we must acknowledge the feeling, fully accept it, and fully love it is to SHIFT the energy. When we love how we feel, it shifts the energy into a higher vibrational energy. So, loving the pain, fear, rejection, anger, etc allows us to push through it easily! When we love the process and the journey of life, that is when beautiful things happen!
Next, release the emotions you are carrying. We carry a lot. We carry out parent’s stuff, our siblings' stuff, our friends’ stuff, our partners' stuff, and our own stuff. We have so much of people’s stuff within us that we often can’t even distinguish what is our own. Say out loud, “I choose to release the (feeling) that I am carrying.”
Here are some common feelings, but of course there are more:
Love
Fear
Anger
Uncomfortability
Rejection
Guilt
Shame
Burdened
Regret
Failure
Anxiety, worry
Pressure
Pressure to achieve
Pressure to do the right thing or make the right choice.
It’s okay to feel fear. Lean into the fear and figure out what is triggering you to feel this way. Realize that they are just feelings. They are created by our mind, and they will pass. Uncomfortable feelings happen to us on the inside but, they are based on external fears. If we tap into the truest form of love then the feelings will not feel intense, scary, overwhelming, etc. All of the deepest love comes from inside of us. If we can tap into that inner power, then the feelings that come from external circumstances are superfluous.
