How to Open Your Heart - part 2

Here are more ways to open your heart. Like I mentioned in the previous article, I help clients energetically, emotionally, mentally, and physically awaken their bliss, but here more steps you can take towards that process: 


Breathe into fear and pain

When we breathe into fear and pain it softens the experience. 

  1. Take a deep breath 

  2. Resist running

  3. Don't mask the pain. 

  4. Lean into the pain and the emotion. 

  5. Embrace the emotions 

When we run from our fears & pain, it gets stronger and more intense. 

Running makes the energy more dense.  They become stagnant and create blocks. 


Where leaning-in makes the energy pass through and flow freely - allowing more opportunity for new beautiful energy to come into our lives.

Embrace uncomfortable feelings

Ask yourself what fear feels like in your body.  Is it that urge to run, a feeling of fight or flight, or a rush of anxiety?  Is it tension that pops up in the neck, back, or stomach?  Is it a feeling of nausea? Is it a feeling to run and shut it down before it happens? Is it a feeling to sabotage love before you can get hurt? 


Let feelings show you what you need to see.


Lean into the discomfort and ask why you felt so uncomfortable.  Go deep and find the root of your discomfort.  When you find it, love it, embrace it, and see how it made you who you are.   For you are divinely perfect in this moment and it is all because of the moments leading up to this moment. 


Yes I know this seems difficult because the initial impulse is to suppress the feelings or run away. 


It is vitally important to explore this.   These triggers are the keys to unlock our healing. We need to experience what is on the other side of this pain.  The keys to our freedom and union with God is there.  We must trust the process and embrace it.


Ask your intuition and heart what they want

Instead of analyzing everything with your brain or going back and forth scrutinizing over events, tune your mind out.


Instead lean into your heart.  Throw out your brain and ask your heart what it wants.   Ask "what does my heart want, what do I yearn for, what are my deepest desires?".   What is my intuition and gut feeling saying to me? 


Our hearts and intuition will keep us on our soul's path.  Although society is all about the brain, the brain almost always steers us wrong.  That deep knowing is so much stronger in directing us towards, healing, growth, love, opportunities, etc. Engage with what brings your excitement, passion, and feels like a higher calling. Trust that following your intuition will carry you on path and open your world to where you need to be. 


Take a deep breath.  Tap on your heart and ask your heart what feels good. Write down what comes up.  Keep exploring that.  


Often others influence us without us realizing it, so spend time alone and in silent meditation.  It may feel difficult at first, but you’ll be opening yourself up to receiving what your soul really needs to hear.  Tuning out the external noise is vital to adding depth and understanding into your life.



Explore views outside of yourself

When interacting with others, go out of your way to appreciate their uniqueness as if they are an extension of you.  See the beauty within them and see what they can teach you about yourself.


Work towards creating space for them and understanding them.


There are many ways to open your heart and keep it open, but every individual is different with their process. As an intuitive therapist and healer, I tap into the best ways that work for my client.
